South Carolina Voyager Spotlights B.Well Founder, Brooke Davis

Aiken’s Own “Hidden Gem” in Mental Health Care

We’re excited to share that Brooke Davis, LISW-CP-S, founder of B.Well Counseling & Consulting was recently featured in South Carolina Voyager’s “Hidden Gems” interview series! The article highlights Brooke’s journey from school work to private practice and her passion for offering trauma-informed therapy for children, families, and postpartum mothers across Aiken, South Carolina.

From School-Based Social Work to Starting a Practice

In the interview, Brooke reflects on her early days as a school social worker and how those experiences shaped her desire to create a therapy practice rooted in compassion and clarity. She saw firsthand how much families needed emotional support, behavioral guidance, and a safe space to heal.

That vision became the foundation of B.Well Counseling & Consulting is an environment designed to feel calming, child-friendly, and deeply supportive.

A Trauma-Informed, Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach

Brooke emphasized that at B.Well, every therapist is trained to meet clients with curiosity, not control. The practice is known for using evidence-based approaches like:

  • Play Therapy

  • AutPlay for neurodiverse children

  • Postpartum mental health support

  • Family therapy and parent coaching

Whether a child is experiencing emotional dysregulation or a mother is coping with postpartum anxiety, B.Well’s trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming care helps each client feel safe, understood, and empowered.

Entrepreneurship with Purpose

While Brooke admitted that launching a business was intimidating, especially without a formal business background, she leaned into her purpose: to build a mental health practice that felt authentic, nurturing, and family-focused.

Today, B.Well Counseling & Consulting serves the Aiken and CSRA communities through:

  • Specialized therapy for kids, teens, and parents

  • School consultations and educator training

  • Clinical supervision for mental health professionals

Encouragement for Future Clinicians

Brooke closed the interview by encouraging other helpers, especially those early in their careers, to stay grounded in their purpose.

“The way you care, the way you show up for people, that matters.”

This powerful reminder is the heartbeat of B.Well: real people helping real families heal, grow, and thrive.
